Christopher Rennie-Smith advises on matters relating to European patents, both on substantive and procedural aspects of EPO and national proceedings.
Although now retired from his position as an appeal judge at the European Patent Office, he remains actively involved in teaching patent law and procedure and is a visiting lecturer at Cambridge and Uppsala universities. He is also an Associate Member of CIPA and “of counsel” to Collyer Bristow LLP, the law firm at which he was previously a partner. As well as English, he speaks fluent French and German and passable Swedish.
